General Rental Information
¨ Room Rental - 5 hours starting from the time your guests arrive. (Sorry there is no overtime.)
Time frames are as Follows:
Monday-Friday: 7 am-4 pm* or 6 pm – 11 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 11 am – 4 pm or 6 pm – 11 pm
¨ Tableware - Complete table service (table linens, glassware, dinner and silverware) is provided.
¨ Tables are set with white or ivory cloths and choice of napkin color to accent your theme.
¨ Cutting and serving of cake-Cake will be cut and served on china plates at no additional charge.
¨ Ample free parking.
Security Policy
The City of South San Francisco requires security personnel to be present during the course of any function with music and/or alcohol.. California Catering Company, in accordance with this law, will determine the number of security personnel and/or police officers required for each event. The City of South San Francisco also requires an event permit for each party that takes place at a fee of $20. Charges for either or both will be at the prevailing rate.
Labor Charges
Main Room: A $300 room set-up fee Saturday & Sunday, per time frame
Fire Side Lounge: A $150 room set-up fee Saturday & Sunday. Per time frame
Bar Requirements
The South San Francisco Elks Lodge is responsible for all bar charges and requires a separate payment made to them at the time of the event.
Payment Requirements
A Final guaranteed count is required in our office one (1) week prior to the function. Your final amount due will be based on your final count and/or guest guarantee, plus service charge, sales tax and security charge added, less any deposit and any pre-payments. Please have final payment in the form of a money order or cashiers check four (4) days prior to your event. California Catering Company reserves the right to cancel a banquet if payment is not received four days prior to the event or for misrepresentation.
Cancellation Policy
Should you cancel your event less than four (4) weeks prior to your event date, 50% of the estimated balance is due and payable
Additional Information
¨ No outside food or beverages are allowed on the premises without California Catering Companies consent
¨ A $750 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the room and will credited to your final bill
¨ California Catering Company will not be responsible for any food taken off the premises.
¨ Minimum of 50 adult guests for use of the Fire Side Lounge.
¨ Minimum of 150 adult guests for use of the Main Room on Saturdays.
¨ There will be an additional 18% service charge and California State Sales Tax added to the final bill. Present state law requires that sales tax be based on the prices per person after the Service Charge has been added.
¨ California Catering Company reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
